About Us

Our Story

I’ve worked wholly within the education sector for over ten years; it’s where my network, experience, and professional focus have always been. My wife is a school business manager, so I understand the realities, challenges, and pressures school leaders face. This isn’t just a business area for me, it matters personally.

More Than Recruitment

In a congested market, it’s vital to have someone who can be a genuine mouthpiece for your organisation. You rarely get a second chance at a first impression, so being able to clearly and authentically extol the virtues of your school and your role is essential.

An Extension of Your Marketing

Every candidate interactions - from the first contact to the final decision - is an opportunity to showcase your culture and values. I see recruitment as an extension of your marketing and outreach, shaping how candidates perceive your school and its leadership. Its something I’ve always taken seriously.

Candidate Experience Matters

How a candidate feels at the start, during, and at the end of a process can have a lasting impact, not just on whether they accept an offer, but on your school’s reputation in the wider sector. I pride myself on ensuring candidates feel respected, informed, and valued throughout.

Our Commitment

When we partner, my role is to bring the right people to your school, represent your values faithfully, and ensure every interaction enhances your reputation. That’s how I measure success.

We operate with honesty and transparency in every recruitment process.

We build strong, collaborative relationships with schools and candidates alike.

We deliver high-quality, tailored recruitment solutions to meet your unique needs.

The Quiet Power of Data in School Decision-Making

Schools make hundreds of decisions every day across many aspects of school life. Many of these decisions are shaped by instinct, experience, or tradition, which are invaluable. Increasingly, the schools are realising pairing experience with data-driven insight is the golden formula. The challenge isn’t access to data as most schools have more than enough but it’s how it’s used. Raw numbers alone don’t make better decisions; interpretation and action do. When data is underutilised, opportunities are missed, patterns remain invisible and assumptions can slowly creep into bias.

Too Many Voices Can Blur the Hiring Picture

Over the years, I’ve seen many cases where too many voices in the hiring process create unintended confusion. Different stakeholders - from HR and finance to leadership and SLT's and beyond - all bring their own priorities and perspectives.

The Growing Importance of Marketing in Independent Schools

Independent schools today are operating in a climate of shifting expectations, financial pressures, political interference and heightened competition. Where once reputation and tradition alone could sustain healthy enrolment, schools now face headwinds that demand a more proactive and strategic approach to positioning themselves in the marketplace. We've only got to see the stories of closures of long standing institutions to see how challenging the sector is right now. Marketing, certainly when I first started in schools recruitment, was once seen as peripheral or an add-on to someone else’s job description, but over the years has now moved firmly to the fore.
