About the Role
EduExec Recruitment is working with a high-performing school in London to recruit an IT Director.
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly into the school's leadership team, with management responsibility across a team spanning data, technology, admissions and registry. The role combines strategic oversight with operational management, from shaping the school's approach to digital transformation and emerging technologies through to ensuring the integrity of data, systems and reporting that underpin day-to-day school life. This is a broad opportunity that requires someone equally comfortable influencing at senior level and getting into the detail of how information flows across a complex organisation.
Whilst not exhaustive, the role will encompass:
- Strategic ownership of the school's IT infrastructure, systems and cybersecurity
- Leading MIS operations and ensuring data accuracy, compliance and statutory reporting
- Driving the school's digital development and emerging technology strategy
- Overseeing admissions, registry and student records functions
- Budget management and procurement across IT and information services
- Line management and development of a multidisciplinary team
The successful candidate must bring substantial MIS and data management experience gained within a school setting. Strong data governance knowledge and the people leadership skills to manage a multidisciplinary team effectively are equally important. The ability to think strategically about technology while remaining grounded in the practical realities of school life is what will set the strongest candidates apart.
